  • Heli Kettunen works as a product manager at Svea Payments with payments in ecommerce as her main responsibility. Questions and Answers


Q: Can an extension be added to Gorgias that can partially automate customer service outside office hours?

Yes! There are features built into Gorigas that allow for custom replies outside of office hours, which can be customised by each merchant. No extension is required. The most common way of doing this is using Rules. 


Q: How does the PostNord parcel machine work via a mobile application?


Territories without the POS hardware: How can we still use the app?

The POS app is available in France, only the hardware is not available but there is no regulation blocking you from using the app and getting a non-Shopify hardware that would be compatible with the app. The only caveat is that there are some manual reconciliation due to the hardware limitation.


Is it possible to use shopifys front end without using shopifys checkout?

While technically it's indeed possible to use the frontend without engaging with the checkout, it's not something we typically recommend to our partners or merchants. We're really proud of the checkout system we've developed here at Shopify. We've put a lot of thought, effort, and innovation into creating what we genuinely believe is the best checkout experience in the world. It's not just a feature to us, it's a central aspect of our platform philosophy. We feel it can add significant value to your user experience and we'd love for you to make the most of it!

What are the advantages of a single-page checkout?

Shopify's single page checkout comes with a host of advantages that can greatly enhance the shopping experience for your customers. One of its key strengths is the user-friendly design. This intuitive and straightforward process makes the purchasing journey simpler and quicker for your customers. This simplicity is not just beneficial for the user experience, but it also helps in reducing cart abandonment rates. By minimizing the steps required to complete a purchase, customers are less likely to abandon their carts due to a complicated or lengthy checkout process. This ease of use can directly lead to increased conversion rates as customers find it more convenient to finalize their purchases.
