Wayfinder helps commerce teams understand what drives performance, identify growth opportunities, and prioritize the actions that matter most.

We are now looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help introduce Wayfinder to leading brands and retailers across Europe.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative for Wayfinder, you will focus on the early stages of the sales process — identifying opportunities, initiating conversations with target accounts, and helping prospects understand the value of commerce intelligence.

Unlike traditional high-volume SDR roles, this position focuses on account-based outreach. We already know many of the brands we want to work with — your role is to open the door, build relationships, and help prospects see the business value of Wayfinder.

You will work closely with our commercial, product, and intelligence teams to guide prospects from first conversation through product demonstrations and initial business case discussions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, understanding business challenges, and introducing innovative solutions to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Account-Based Prospecting

  • Engage with a defined list of target brands and retailers.

  • Initiate conversations with eCommerce leaders, Heads of Digital, and Growth teams.

  • Conduct thoughtful outbound outreach via LinkedIn, email, events, and referrals.

  • Build rapport and establish early trust with prospective customers.


Discovery & Opportunity Qualification

  • Run initial discovery conversations to understand each prospect’s commerce maturity, data challenges, and growth ambitions.

  • Identify where Wayfinder can create measurable business impact.

  • Qualify opportunities and progress them through the early sales pipeline.

Product Demonstrations

  • Conduct engaging product demos that showcase how Wayfinder helps commerce teams make better decisions.

  • Translate platform capabilities into clear commercial outcomes.

  • Tailor demonstrations to each prospect’s business challenges.


Business Case Development

  • Help prospects understand the ROI potential of Wayfinder.

  • Support early-stage business case discussions with commercial stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the wider sales and intelligence teams to shape compelling opportunities.


Pipeline Development

  • Maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities.

  • Document conversations and insights in the CRM.

  • Ensure smooth handover to senior commercial team members when opportunities progress toward closing.

Market Insight & Feedback

  • Capture feedback from prospects and the market.

  • Share insights with product and intelligence teams to improve Wayfinder.

  • Stay informed about trends in commerce, AI, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–4+ years of experience in business development, SDR/BDR roles, or early-stage sales.
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, analytics, or digital commerce environments is highly preferred.
  • Experience engaging with mid-market or enterprise B2B customers is a plus.


Commercial Curiosity

  • Strong interest in understanding how businesses grow and optimize performance.
  • Ability to connect product capabilities to real business challenges.
  • Comfortable discussing commercial performance, data, and digital growth.


Communication

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly explain technology and data concepts in business terms.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a bonus.


Location & Travel

  • Remote role with preference for candidates located in the UK, Finland or Sweden.
  • Occasional travel for customer meetings and internal events.
