Woolman accelerates it’s growth in Europe by opening a new location with Amsterdam-based Digital Takeout. Fast-growing Woolman has over 40 eCommerce specialists in the Nordics and is the largest Shopify Plus agency in mainland Europe.

There are globally over 1M merchants running their business in the Shopify-ecosystem, which passed eBay in revenue on the US market in September. The European market has been slower adapting the as-a-Service platform, but the market is growing very fast. According to Woolman’s intelligence, there are over 10 000 merchants using Shopify and it’s enterprise version Shopify Plus in the Dutch market.
In addition, brands are increasingly going direct-to-consumer and setting up or investing in their own digital businesses and brands. For example, brands like Nike, Patagonia, Ralph Lauren and many others have abandoned Amazon to take control of their digital sales. Woolman sees this happening also with smaller, digital-born brands.
